About the Company

Heygaz is a European biogas and biomethane produced from waste. Our focus is on the production of biomethane for grid injection purposes and/or bioLNG as a fuel for decarbonizing hard-to-abate segments of demand such as road and marine transportation.

Heygaz activities in Norway include one biomethane plant on Stord, that is under re-construction and a development project in the Vindafjord (Rogaland), as well as new greenfield opportunities. Heygaz is actively looking at new opportunities, both organic and in-organic in Norway and rest of Scandinavia.

Heygaz is based in Madrid with the support of Infravia Capital Partners, a European leading private equity firm.

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual, responsible for overseeing financial activities and project administration within Heygaz Norway. This role involves strategic financial planning, reporting, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Planning and Analysis:
   1. Develop, manage, and execute financial plans for biogas projects.
   2. Analyze project costs, revenue, and profitability.
   3. Provide insights to optimize financial performance.

1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
   1. Collaborate with project managers to create project budgets.
   2. Monitor project expenses and adjust budgets as needed.
   3. Forecast financial requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.

1. Project Administration:
   1. Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources.
   2. Ensure compliance with project contracts, regulations, and reporting requirements.
   3. Manage project documentation, including financial records and progress reports.
2. Stakeholder Collaboration:
   1. Work closely with project teams, engineers, and external partners.
   2. Provide financial guidance to project managers and stakeholders.
   3. Facilitate communication between finance and project teams.

1. Risk Management:
   1. Identify financial risks associated with projects.
   2. Develop risk mitigation strategies.
   3. Monitor project performance and address any deviations.

1. Reporting and Compliance:
   1. Prepare regular financial reports for project stakeholders.
   2. Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
   3. Collaborate with auditors during project audits.

1. Business Development
   1. Engage in strategic initiatives to drive business growth and market expansion.
   2. Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning and positioning.
   3. Support the preparation of business cases and investment proposals for decision-making by the executive team.
   4. Drive the financial structuring of deals to optimize returns and manage risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Proven experience in financial planning, project management, and administration.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of the biogas industry and sustainability practices is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, in both Norwegian and English
• Team player, with the ability to be part of multi-disciplinary and international working groups
• Problem-solving mindset with emphasis on results and with the ability to analyze complex financial issues and implement effective solutions.
